August 13, 2026
XAGUSD, Time frame: 4 H
XAG/USD has traded within a clear ascending
channel since early August, with a consistent pattern of higher highs and
higher lows. Recent price action has moved back and broken the trendline,
bringing trend support into focus.
Price Moves Below the Mid-Band
After reaching highs near $67.00, Silver
has eased lower and is now trading around $64.30. Price has slipped below the
20-period SMA/Bollinger mid-band at $65.05, indicating that upward momentum has
moderated following the recent rally.
Lower Bollinger Band Comes Into Focus
The Bollinger Bands suggest a shift from
expansion to consolidation:
Upper Band: $66.42
Mid-Band (20 SMA): $65.05
Lower Band: $63.66
Price is currently moving toward the lower
half of the Bollinger range, with the lower band now acting as the nearest
technical reference point.
RSI Returns to Neutral Territory
The RSI has declined from near-overbought
readings above 70 to approximately 50. This reflects a cooling in momentum
rather than a clear directional signal, with the indicator now sitting near its
equilibrium level.
Key Levels Remain Well Defined
The market is currently positioned between
notable support and resistance zones:
Support
$63.66 (Lower Bollinger Band)
$62.80 (Previous support zone)
$60.77 (Major support area)
